Grainne Walsh progresses to the second round of the World Boxing Championships

Grainne Walsh safely got through her first-round bout at the World Boxing Championships in Liverpool today.

The Tullamore fighter won by unanimous decision against Slovakias Jessica Triebelova in the 65kg division.

It was not to be for Gavin Rafferty in the men's 75kg, losing his round-of-32 clash to Azerbaijans Saidjamshid Jafarov
