Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann has stepped down from the role after his team's last-32 defeat to Paraguay at the World Cup.
Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is said to be open to replacing him.
A clause in his contract with current employers Red Bull allows him to take the national job.
