Galway are hopeful of appointing a new senior hurling manager by next week.

The county’s hurling committee have been speaking to candidates this week, as they seek a replacement for Shane O’Neill.

2017 All Ireland-winning manager Micheál Donoghue is the favourite to be appointed.
