Galway will be playing in Division Two of the Allianz National Football league next year.

They lost by a point to Monaghan in their Division One relegation play-off in Clones yesterday.

1-21 to 2-17 was the final score after extra-time.

Elsewhere, Armagh beat Roscommon 1-17 to 11 points at the Athletic Grounds to retain their top tier status.

Mayo secured promotion back up to Division One.

They beat Clare by four points in Ennis where the final score was 2-22 to 2-18.

And Kildare beat Meath 1-14 to 14 points in Newbridge to ensure they go up to the top flight.

Galway and Kilkenny are joint Division One champions in the Allianz Hurling League.

Galway beat Cork 3-25 to 2-23 at Pairc Ui Chaoimh to finish top of Group A.

Elsewehere All-Ireland champions Limerick beat Westmeath and Waterford saw off Tipperary.

The final of the Divison One Littlewoods Ireland National Camogie League will be a repeat of last year's All-Ireland final.

Kilkenny and Galway booked their places in the decider yesterday with respective wins over Tipperary and Cork at Nowlan Park.
