The Irish Independent is reporting that Seamus Flanagan and Shane Dowling haven't been included in the Limerick hurling panel for next season.

Flanagan is a five-time All-Ireland winner, while Dowling had returned to the fold as a goalkeeper last season.

John Kiely is understood to have left both players out of his squad for the 2026 campaign as Limerick look to regain the Liam McCarthy Cup for the first time since 2023.

Castletown Geoghegan have successfully defended their Westmeath senior hurling title after a nine-point win over Lough Lene Gaels in today's final replay in Mullingar.

The holders were 3-15 to 2-9 winners to land their third crown in five seasons.

Leitrim champions Glencar Manorhamilton are through to the semi-finals of the Connacht LGFA Senior Football Championship.

The hosts had too much for Sligo's Eoghan Rua in Boggaun this afternoon, winning by 5-19 to 2-12.
