France flanker Axelle Berthoumieu has had her ban reduced from 12 games to nine on appeal.
She was suspended after being charged for a bite on Ireland's Aoife Wafer in Sunday's Rugby World Cup quarter-final in Exeter.
Berthoumieu will still miss the remainder of the tournament, with France set to face England in the semi-finals this weekend.
