Former Republic of Ireland international Glenn Whelan will take charge of Wigan Athletic on an interim basis.
The League One club have sacked manager Shaun Maloney due to "disappointing" results.
They're 15th in the table and won just one of their last eight matches in all competitions.

Maloney's last game was yesterday's 2-1 defeat at home to Reading.
