Former Republic of Ireland midfielder Alan McLoughlin has died at the age of 54.
It was his equalising goal against Northern Ireland in November 1993 that secured Ireland a place at the World Cup in the United States.
McLoughlin made his Ireland debut at the previous World Cup in 1990, and was international player of the year in ‘96.
