Forest win at Liverpool

Liverpool's faltering Premier League title challenge has continued with a 3-nil defeat to Nottingham Forest at Anfield.

Chelsea boosted their hopes of challenging leaders Arsenal by going second with a 2-nil win at Burnley.

Manchester City will move within a point of the top by beating Newcastle this evening.

Rob Edwards' first game in charge of bottom side Wolves ended in a 2-nil home defeat to Crystal Palace.

Brentford missed a late penalty as they lost 2-1 at Brighton, Fulham were 1-nil winners against Sunderland and Bournemouth came back from 2-nil down to draw 2-all with West Ham.

Coventry have a seven-point lead at the top of the Championship after coming back from 2-nil down to beat West Brom 3-2.

Second placed Middlesbrough could only draw 1-all at Oxford.

Southampton made it three wins in a row with a 5-1 thrashing of Charlton, while Bristol City's 3-nil victory over managerless Swansea in the other early kick-off moved them up to fourth.

Former Rangers manager Philippe Clement suffered a 4-1 defeat at Birmingham in his first game in charge of Norwich.

Watford overturned a 2-nil deficit to get past Derby 3-2, while QPR won by the same score against Hull.

Portsmouth triumphed 3-1 against Millwall and Leicester edged Stoke 2-1.

Ipswich drew nil-nil with Wrexham at Portman Road.
