Team Flexachem lost away to Maree in the Men’s Super League 89-81, their final game of the season and an encounter which would change nothing for either team as Maree were already relegated and Killorglin were unable to improve on their tenth place finish. The game tipped off at 3 o'clock with Maree getting off to the better start and Josh Mc Gettigan scoring well which saw the Galway side end the first period ahead on a score of 24 to 17.
The second quarter saw Team Flexachem hit back with Eche Okeke leading the charge and by half time had levelled the tie at 44 each.
Quarter three saw Maree out score Killorglin by 29 to 10 including a 15 point contribution by Eoin Rockall and finished the period with a commanding lead of 73 to 54 and leaving the Kerry outfit with a mountain to climb.
Team Flexachem went on a late surge in the game including an 11 point without reply run but Maree did enough to see out the game on a final score of 89 to 81.
Josh McGettigan sored 27 for Maree along with 25 from Eoin Rockall while best for Team Flexachem were Eche Okeke on 27 and Jordan Blount on 18.
