The FAI have remained tight-lipped on whether former assistant coach Anthony Barry is a lead candidate for the Ireland men's job.

Barry served under previous manager Stephen Kenny in 2021, and is currently working at Bayern Munich and the Portuguese national side.

Chief executive Jonathan Hill said the process is moving forward quite well, but refused to reveal the identities of the top candidates for the job.
