The tournament normally runs alongside the men’s edition, but was postponed on account of the pandemic.

Teams have been split into two pools of three, with Ireland away to Wales and at home to France.

The Under-20 Six Nations will adopt a similar format in June and July.

Peter O’Mahony says Ireland will be without one of their best players this Sunday against Wales.

Caelan Doris was forced to withdraw from the squad yesterday having shown symptoms associated with concussion.

But O’Mahony says others are itching to take the Leinster back row’s place.
