Irish driver Alex Dunne has been released from McLaren’s driver development programme, fuelling speculation of a move to Red Bull.
The 19-year-old impressed in Formula One practice sessions this season and currently sits fifth in the F2 championship.
Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has confirmed their interest in Dunne, who is bidding to become the first Irish F1 driver since Ralph Firman in 2003.
