Drogheda United have lost their appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport around their participation in this season's Conference League.
The Louth club had earned a place in the qualifying rounds but now won't be allowed take part as the Trivela Group, which also owns a stake in Danish club Silkeborg, can't have two competing clubs in the same competition.
In a statement, Drogheda said they were 'heartbroken' by the decision.
