Dermot McCabe looks set to depart Westmeath to become Cavan's next senior football manager.
The Anglo-Celt reports that Finbar O’Reilly has withdrawn his name, leaving McCabe as the sole remaining candidate to succeed Raymond Galligan.
He was in charge of Westmeath last season, while also employed by his native county of Cavan as their Head of Games.
