Defending champion Iga Swiatek is into the second round of the French Open.

The number 8 seed has won her first round match against Kaja Juvan in straight sets, 6-love, 7-5.

Serena Williams and Roger Federer will both be in first round action later at Roland Garros.

Williams takes on Romania's Irina Begu, while Federer's up against Denis Istomin.
