The two-time defending champion sealed a 3-1 win over Taylor Fritz, clinching the fourth set in a tie break.
Alcaraz will now face the winner of the match between world number one Jannik Sinner and 24-time Grand Slam champ Novak Djokovic in Sunday's final.
