Connolly named in Ireland under-21 squad

Aaron Connolly has been named in the Ireland under-21 squad for their European Championship playoff with Israel.

Currently on loan with Venezia, Connolly’s last under-21 cap came three years ago away to Sweden.

There’s a first call-up for Lincoln defender Sean Roughan, while Brighton’s 17-year old striker Evan Ferguson is also included.
