Connacht confirm Hansen to be out for up to five weeks

Connacht have confirmed Mack Hansen will be out of action for up to five weeks with an ankle injury.

The western province also say that Shane Jennings will require shoulder surgery and is set for three months on the sidelines.

Bundee Aki, Caolin Blade and Denis Buckley have all returned to training and will be in contention to face Edinburgh in the URC this weekend.

Sean O'Brien is also back in contention to play after a long-term hamstring injury.

Staying with Connacht, out-half Jack Carty has signed a new one-year deal with the province.

The Athlone native has made 220 appearances with the side, but had struggled for game time this season before the departure of head coach Pete Wilkins last month.
