Cluxton has not retired but asked to be given time to consider his future

Dessie Farrell says Stephen Cluxton has not retired but has asked to be given time to consider his future as Dublin's captain and goalkeeper.

The Dublin boss confirmed yesterday that the 39-year-old has 'stepped away' from the panel but also said the door is always open for him to return.

Farrell was speaking after Dublin's 15 points to 7 win over Wexford in the Leinster quarter finals.
