City looking into possibility of expanding capacity of stadium

Manchester City are looking into the possibility of expanding the capacity of their stadium to 60-thousand.

The Premier League champions would have the fifth biggest venue in the top flight if the plans go ahead.

A new club shop, museum and hotel also form part of the proposals, with formal consultations taking place early next year.
