Casey Named Ireland Tour Captain As Farrell Left Out

Craig Casey has been named as Ireland captain for their summer tour of Georgia and Portugal this July.

Interim head coach Paul O'Connell has included 11 uncapped players in his squad for the two tests.

Ulster trio James McNabney, Jude Postlethwaite and Zac Ward are also travelling as training panelists.

Despite Robbie Henshaw missing out through injury there's no room for Munster centre Tom Farrell who was nominated for the players player of the year.

While Iain Henderson and Rob Herring have been left out, having only recently returned from long-term spells on the sidelines.
