Capacity of Casement Park looks set to be much smaller than planned

The capacity of the re-developed Casement Park looks set to much smaller than originally planned.

Long-awaited works at the Belfast venue recently got underway, but The Irish Examiner reports that a GAA sub-committee have been assessing a scaled back plan for the project.

It had been expected that the capacity would be 34-thousand-500, but it could end up being less than half of that number.
