St Brendan’s have qualified for the Garvey’s Supervalu County Senior Hurling Championship semi-finals.
At Tralee’s Austin Stack Park they defeated Crotta 5-19 to 2-11.
St Brendan’s took early control, racing into a 2-2 to 0-1 lead after ten minutes, the goals scored by Liam Og O'Connor and Eoin O'Flaherty.
A 21st minute goal from Fionan Egan made it 3-3 to 0-3. It was 3-6 to 0-7 at the break.
Sean Brosnan nabbed a fourth goal for Brendan's early in the second period. James Sheehan netted for Crotta after 35 minutes, making it 4-7 to 1-7. At the 3/4 stage it was 4-12 to 1-10.
Sean Brosnan goaled again for the victors before the finish.
3 minutes from time Evan O'Sullivan scored a consolation goal for Crotta.
