Sam Bennett has taken fifth place in the Mens Road Race event at the European Championships in Munich.
The Tour De France green jersey winner was best of the 5 Irish competitiors in the race and was at the heart of the sprint finish.
Fabio Jakobsen of the Netherlands took the gold medal.
