Tadhg Beirne will miss the rest of the Six Nations.
The Munster second row sustained an ankle injury in last weekend's win over France and will undergo surgery today.
He is going to be out for up to 12 weeks, which effectively rules him out of the rest of Munster's Champions Cup campaign.
