Thomas Barr has been forced to withdraw from the upcoming World Athletics Championships after picking up an injury in training this week.
The 31-year-old Waterford native had been due to compete in the 400m Hurdles at the championships which get underway in Budapest in two weeks' time.
Sligo man Chris O'Donnell has been invited to represent Ireland in the 400m following Barr's withdrawal.
