Athlone Town women's qualify for the Europa Cup

Athlone Town are the first League of Ireland Women's team to qualify for European competition in over a decade.

Colin Fortune's side beat Red Star Belgrade 2-0 in their Champions League qualifier third-place playoff.

Athlone have now qualifyed for the Europa Cup, UEFA's new second-tier competition for women's teams.
