Arsenal close gap at top of Premier

Arsenal have been held to a 1-all draw away at Everton in the Premier League.

The visitors levelled from the penalty spot early in the second half, after Leandro Trossard had given the Londoners the lead at the break.

Ipswich's task of staying in the Premier League has been made even harder with a 2-1 defeat at home to fourth-bottom Wolves.

A fiery derby saw nine-man Crystal Palace beat Brighton - who also had a player sent off - 2-1, while West Ham and Bournemouth drew 2-2.

Burnley have moved top of the Championship table, for a short time at least, after a 2-1 victory away at Coventry.

Rangers' dismal recent home form continued as they were beaten 2-nil by Hibs in the Scottish Premiership.

Their fifth consecutive defeat at Ibrox means they remain 13 points behind leaders Celtic, who now have a game in hand.

Aberdeen edged past Ross County 1-nil, St Mirren missed the chance to climb into the top six with a 2-nil loss to Dundee, while Kilmarnock were 2-nil winners over Motherwell.
