Appleby does Newmarket double

Charlie Appleby has done the Newmarket double this weekend.

The British trainer has taken the 1 thousand Guineas this afternoon with the favourite Desert Flower crossing home first under William Buick.

Trainer Ollie Sangster picked up second and third with his horses Flight and Shimmering.

Another Appleby mount Ruling Court won the 2 thousand Guineas at the same track yesterday.
