Andy Farrell has confirmed his backroom team for the Lions tour of Australia, with Ireland coaches Simon Easterby, John Fogarty, and Andrew Goodman named among the five-strong staff.
Farrell says it was important to get his coaching selections right before naming his playing squad in May.
In Farrell and Easterby’s absence, Paul O'Connell is expected to take charge of Ireland's summer tour to Portugal and Georgia.
