Keith Andrews is understood to be edging closer to being appointed as Brentford's new manager.

The former Ireland international is reportedly in advanced talks with the Premier League club.

Andrews - who was a set-piece coach under former manager Thomas Frank last season - was previously an assistant coach with the Republic of Ireland.

Manchester United have made an improved bid of more than 60-million-pounds for Brentford striker Bryan Mbeumo.

They had an initial offer of 55-million-pounds rejected.

Tottenham are also interested in signing Mbeumo.
