Midfielder Miguel Almiron has agreed a new three-and-a-half year contract with Newcastle.
The 29-year-old Paraguayan has had his best season so far in front of goal, scoring 10 times.
His performances have helped Newcastle to fifth in the Premier League, as well as securing a place in this Sunday's EFL Cup final against Manchester United.
