Mark Allen has made the final four of the World Snooker Championships for just the third time in his career.

The Antrim native defeated England's Barry Hawkins 13-11, to set up a semi-final with one of Hossein Vafei or Wu Yize.

Shaun Murphy has inflicted the Crucible curse on Zhao Xintong by booking his place in the semi-finals

On the other table, Hossein Vafei has fallen behind against Wu Yize - the Chinese potter leads 9-6

Neil Robertson and John Higgins resume from 7pm this evening, with the Australian leading 9-frames-to-7.
