The company behind the failed European Super League have been compared to a "zombie" after floating a new idea for the competition.
A22 says it could be revitalised with up to 80 teams, promotion and relegation, and no permanent members.
The previous iteration died almost as soon as it was announced two years ago, after a fierce backlash.
