All-Ireland champions Kerry have nine nominees for this year’s Football All-Stars, while beaten finalists Donegal lead the way with ten.
David Clifford, the favourite for Footballer of the Year, is among the Kerry nominees. He’s joined by Paudie Clifford and Sean O’Shea in attack. Captain Gavin White, Jason Foley, Brian Ó Beaglaíoch, Mike Breen and goalkeeper Shane Ryan are all nominated in defence, while Joe O’Connor earns recognition in midfield and is also shortlisted for Footballer of the Year.
Clifford, already a two-time Footballer of the Year, is shortlisted alongside teammate Joe O’Connor and Donegal’s Michael Murphy. Clifford finished top scorer in this year’s Championship with eight goals and 48 points.
For Young Footballer of the Year, the nominees are Oisín Conaty (Armagh), Matthew Thompson (Galway), and Finnbarr Roarty (Donegal).
