San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Keion White has had surgery after being shot in the ankle.
The incident reportedly happened in the early hours of Monday morning.
The injury is not considered career or life-threatening while the San Francisco Police Department is yet to make an arrest.

White had been in Santa Clara to watch his former team - the New England Patriots - play in the Super Bowl.
