The IRFU has confirmed Paul O’Connell will lead Ireland’s summer tour to Portugal and Georgia.
He will be joined by Munster’s Denis Leamy and Mike Prendergast on the coaching ticket.
Prendergast had applied to be Munster’s next head coach but was passed over in favour of New Zealander Clayton McMillan.
He says he still hopes to lead the province in the future.
