3rd for Kenny as Kerryman secures World and European Championships place

Kerry's David Heffernan was 3rd in the 20K International Race Walk in the Czech Republic.

The Farranfore Maine Valley athlete finished behind Bofin of Mexico and Karlstrom of Sweden in a time of 1hr 19mins 44 secs.

The time qualifies him for the World Championships in Oregon, USA and the European Championships in Munich during the summer.
