It’s a massive weekend ahead for Kerry basketball, with three teams from the Kingdom in National League finals at the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght.
The headline clash sees St Paul’s Killarney take centre stage in Sunday’s Women’s Super League Final, where they face Killester at 2 o’clock.
The Killarney side made the final after a thrilling 67-64 win over Trinity Meteors in the last four.
Kerrys ladies football star Siofra O’Shea featured in that semi-final for St Paul’s just hours after lining out for the footballers in Tralee.
Coach James “Boo Boo” Fleming described the win as unbelievable, and said reaching the final brought back memories of Killarney basketball’s golden years in the 1980s.
Before Sunday’s showdown, two other Kerry clubs will contest national finals on Friday night.
At 6pm, Garvey’s Tralee Warriors Women take on Glanmire in the BIDL Ladies Plate Final.
