Dublin's 1974 Sam Maguire winning captain Sean Doherty has passed away at the age of 78, after a brief illness.
The All-Star full-back led Dublin to their first All-Ireland success in 11 years and went on to add another two Celtic Crosses.
Doherty also collected five Leinster medals across his career and was also part of the Dublin management team when they won the League in 1987.
