The oldest member of the Redemptorist community in Limerick, Fr Michael O’Connor who was originally from Tralee, has passed away at the age of 93. Fr Gerard Moloney, a colleague of Fr Michael, spoke to Jerry about his legacy – including how Fr Michael drew the ire of Archbishop John Charles McQuaid for his inclusive editorial policy while editor of the Redemptorists’ magazine, Reality, in the 1960s.
