Sid Lawrence is the best friend of Ciaran Smith who lost his life with his colleagues in last year’s Irish Coast Guard Rescue Helicopter 116 crash. Sid, Ciarán’s wife Martina and other members of the Coast Guard are taking part in a Race Around Ireland Challenge in Ciarán’s memory to raise funds for the LauraLynn charity. They will be cycling in Kerry next Tuesday.
