Cllr Toireasa Ferris revealed her own family history and how it’s interlinked with the shameful story of Ireland’s mother and baby homes and the treatment of unmarried mothers and children born out of wedlock. She called for Magdalene Laundry workers buried at a site in Tralee to be reinterred in a public graveyard.
