Stroke survivor advocates for others through Patient Champions Programme

Meaghan O’Brien who lives in Dingle, suffered a stroke when she
was just 22. She was living in her native Boston at the time, and was initially told she would not walk again. However, she defied the odds and now leads a normal life.

She’s due to marry her fiancée Gearoid next year.

Meaghan now advocates for other stroke patients, as part of the
Patient Champions Programme. Deirdre spoke to her on TalkAbout.
