October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Lauren Barrett from Tralee is telling her story as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

She inherited the BRAC1 gene from her mother, and found out she had breast cancer at just 21 years old.

Deirdre spoke to her earlier.
