Saturday (April 18th) marked 100 years since the first Census of the Irish Free State was carried out. The National Archives of Ireland began work on the census in August 2023 and eight members of staff worked to digitalise 2,496 census books, which were published free online at the weekend. David spoke with Minister for Arts, Culture, Gaeltacht, Sport, Tourism and Media, Patrick O’Donovan on the release of the 1926 Census.
