This week on Ours to Protect we’re taking a look at what we can all do to make space for nature, which is now at crisis point in Ireland.
Over 20% of our native species are threatened with extinction; we’ve lost over 30% of our semi-natural grasslands in the last decade and more than half of our native plants are in decline.
Over 60% of Ireland’s regularly occurring birds are in decline and one-third of the country's wild bee species are threatened with extinction.
Nature needs our help.
