Now we continue with our Kerry Women in Sport documentary series produced by Connie Broderick and Joe McGill and narrated by Eamon Hickson. Maureen Harrington ran for Ireland in seven World and seven European Cross-Country Championships between 1993 and 2002. The Tousist native wrote herself into the annuals of Kerry legends when she was a member of the Irish women's team which won the countries first bronze medals at the world cross country championships in 1997 and again in 2002. A magnificent achievement by Maureen and team mates on those teams includes Sonia o Sullivan, Catherina McKiernan, Valeria Vaughan, Una English and Pauline Curley, all legends in ladies athletics. Here is Kerry Women in Sport with Maureen Harrington.
