Kerry County Council has confirmed a family festival will go ahead in Tralee town in August.
This comes after the Rose of Tralee International Festival announced it is discontinuing the Rose Ball, and pulling out of organising the street events for this year’s festival.
In a statement, the council confirmed it met with the Rose of Tralee International Festival Committee on Tuesday while Tralee Municipal District Members were updated on the current position by the council CEO yesterday.
